Ministry of Mines and Energy. Monterrey, Casanare. June 21st, 2018. The Ministry of Mines and Energy has inaugurated a sports center for the urban settlement of Los Rosales in the municipality of Monterrey, with a value worth over $362 million pesos, almost $225 million of which were financed with resources from the Production Incentive due to the extraction of crude oil in said municipality.
"Over these eight years, we have been working as a sector in order to benefit the community by producing spaces for recreation that enable healthy entertainment. With this public work, over 400 inhabitants will benefit among this part of the population that did not have any sports infrastructure," said the Minister of Mines and Energy, German Arce Zapata.
These public works consists of preparing the terrain, building the basic structure and sports field, multiple courts, stands, access ramps for handicapped individuals, stainless steel guardrails, ball-catching nets, boundary markings, enclosure, access gate and a perimeter canal in order to handle rainwater.
The mining and energy sector continues contributing to improving the quality of life and development of communities, as well as building a responsible, respectful and sustainable framework with respect to the environment.
