Ministry of Mines and Energy. Bogota D.C. September 18th, 2018. The Ministry of Mines and Energy reports that the average production of crude oil for August 2018 reached 866,480 barrels per day, which represents a 0.9% variation compared to the same month of 2017 and a 0.7% change with respect to the previous month. Likewise, gas production for August 2018 reached 1,017.2 million cubic feet per day (MPCD), recording an annual increase of 11%, and 7% when compared to July 2018. The reason for this increase was a rise in gas demand.
